The KLIO is by far the most important collectors' association for friends of cultural-historical Tin figures. I am of course a member of the KLIO and can only recommend to every pewter figure friend to join this important association. The extensive magazine "DIE Tin figure", which is published six times a year, is worth the manageable membership fee alone, in which one not only sees the new releases, but can also read many interesting articles about Tin figures, diorama construction and historical events. Also I participate again and again with contributions to the cultural history and to the fist figures of bellazinnfigur in the publication of this beautiful magazine. Within the KLIO, members and interested people come together for regional meetings. The KLIO organizes every two years the Zinnfigurentage as a sales fair and collectors meeting. The KLIO also represents the interests of collectors and is the contact for the German Pewter Figurine Museum and the city of Kulmbach, which organize the Pewter Figurine Exchange in the Franconian town of Kulmbach in the intervening years, which attracts thousands of visitors from all over the world. I visited this brilliant event for the first time in the early 80s as a young collector and since then I have remained passionately loyal to our beautiful hobby.

Klio , the ancient Greek muse of heroic poetry and historiography is the trademark of the collectors association. All new members receive the beautiful figure as a welcome gift.

Thousands of visitors from all over the world flock to the Pewter Figure Exchange in Kulmbach every two years. The next event will take place from August 9 to 11, 2024.

The magazine "DIE Tin figure" regularly presents the latest Tin figures with informative reports.

I recently became a member of the Association of British Tin Figure Friends and can only recommend this creative society. The link first takes you to a forum for which you can register. On the same page, somewhat hidden, you will also find clicks to other information. The illustration shows the 2020 annual figure "St. George and the Dragon - Everything stops for tea", exclusively issued to members, drawn by Sascha Lunyakov, engraved by Daniel Lepeltier and set in colour by Nick Ball. Brilliant British humour in my opinion.

I recommend this very active public Facebook group to everyone. The currently 375 members of the group post new messages daily. Wonderful paintings by tin figure lovers from Mexico but also by collectors from all over the world are presented and commented on here. Mi Amigo José Mariá Bolio is a busy administrator who creates ingenious works of art in tin himself. This year I was allowed to join the VFZ, which I am very proud of. The VFZ is one of the most traditional associations of tin figure collectors. Its origins lie in Nuremberg-Fuerth and go back to 1952. At that time, the group consisted of seven founding members, including such legendary engravers as Ludwig Frank and Sixtus Maier. The monthly subscription at that time was 30 pfennigs. The VFZ publishes a great magazine every two months with beautiful photos of the figures painted by collector friends.
